TAILORING & FASHION TRAINING

[vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1600611635060{margin-top: 20px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”3411″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1600611599181{margin-top: 30px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text]Our vocational training program in Tailoring / Fashion & Design includes instructors, sewing machines, fabrics, sewing supplies, cutting table, iron, mannequins, training to physically challenged and vulnerable young girls and young women. Students learn basic to advanced apparel sewing skills and accessory making skills.  For the Vocational Tailoring Program, the students will create finished products such as African-inspired purses, fashion necklaces, earrings, bracelets, shirts, shoes, etc.  We also provide students with counselling, mentorship to our students with goal of uplifting their self-esteem and establishing a positive outlook on life.

After completion of our Fashion / Tailoring program, we will work with Mercy Corps to coordinate internships and job placement for our students with local employers.  Our graduates will also have opportunity for apprenticeship within the production hub of our training center.
