Introduction to KDE Disability Africa Foundation – USA

KDE Disability Africa Foundation a 501C3 non-profit organization (NGO) founded in 2015 with headquarters in Texas USA.  We also have operations in Liberia and Nigeria. Our purpose is to improve the lives of people with disabilities and dis-enfranchised girls and youth in Africa and the US. We do this by providing vocational training, empowerment workshops, clothing, food, wheelchairs, canes and advocating for disability inclusion.

Foreword by Founders – Kimma Wreh and Boniface Ihiasota

We founded KDE to help people with disabilities who are usually the most neglected especially girls and young women in Liberia and Nigeria. After leaving war-torn Liberia to pursue education in the U.S., Kimma always wanted to help those who were left behind especially marginalized girls and young women who lag behind male counterparts due to teenage pregnancy, early marriages, school dropouts, etc.

Females with physical disabilities are among the most vulnerable and many lack practical skills for gainful employment or entrepreneurship. This program will give the students a second chance which Kimma was fortunate enough to receive at an early age.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
